These two gorgeous girls are from one of those sessions.  We started at their home where the girls and I spent time in their adorable room, giggling till our cheeks hurt.  They have the sweetest british accents that I can still hear in my head.

After that they took me to some of their favorite spots. First stop was The Met.

Then we headed out to the great lawn in Central Park.  It was a lovely day despite the clouds so everyone was out enjoying the weather.  We found a patch of grass to giggle and chat on.

Now on to this lovely family.  See that gorgeous momma?  A few years ago she photographed my family in North Carolina.  It was January and freezing cold.  I had envisioned my little Florida family in the snow, playing, laughing, sledding, building snowmen.  It was cold, freezing, and yet, none, zero, nada on the snow department.  Sara and her sweet partner braved the freezing temps and even brought along fake snow (mashed potato flakes, lol!) to give us the effect of a lovely North Carolina winter.  The photos we captured that day mean so much to me because as a photographer, it’s rare to be in photos and have good ones at that!  When she emailed and said they’d be visiting Orlando for spring break and wanted some family photos, I was thrilled to do it.  Here’s just a few of my favorites, although I had tons more!  You can check out her gorgeous work and beautiful wedding photography here.  How cute is this family?!!

I photographed big sister below when she was just a few days old.  It was so fun to come back a year later and see how much she’s grown and changed.  A baby brother was on the way so we did some family and maternity photos before he arrived.  Those precious last days before three becomes four.

Photographing this momma and her lovelies is a clear example of just how amazing it is.  Three truly sweet kiddos, a beautiful momma, and the most gorgeous afternoon light.  I think there were a few moments in this session where things seemed a little crazy (as is usually the case when you’re photographing little ones), but the quiet moments and the giggles over ruled all of that.  Years down the road, the stress of getting everyone dressed and hair fixed tends to fade from memory and all that remains are these little moments.  Moments when they were so little they could still fit in your lap.  Moments when a kiss from momma was all that was needed.  Moments when their comments would make you laugh till your stomach hurt.  Moments in the quiet when no words were needed.

Moments like these with my own girls is why I sometimes step away from the technology of today’s world.  Those moments aren’t tied up in the social media.  They’re right in front of me and I’ll take every one of them that I can get.

That’s likely enough boring text for now, so lets move on to some cute babies!  I’ll share this little guy.  I’d photographed his big sister as a newborn and now she’s toddling about and talking too.  She was quite smitten with her baby brother and he was a sweet as could be.
